Creek in Dekalb County Tennessee (pencil 5x8) $50

Back out in Dekalb County Tennessee! Little fish were swimming around this idyllic creek on a nice June Day.

"Summer Shade" (oil 8x10) $150

This is out in Milton Tennessee in Rutherford County. It's along one of my favorite motorcycle cruising areas. The old farm house in the cool afternoon shade made me want to have a glass of iced tea. The middle Tennnessee hills just peeking through the trees. Good ol 3 color palette here. Red yellow and blue + white. I use other colors sometimes, just whatever I feel like.

At Rest (oil 8x10) $150

Even tractors need rest after a hard day's work. Be good to your tractors people. This is out in Dekalb County near Statesville Tennessee down Hoot Owl Hollow. Out and about down these little country roads you will find plenty of subjects. I found a bunch down this hollow and this is one.

Ballerina Sketch (gouache 5x7) $100

I just used Orange Lake, Ivory Black and White on the ballerina here in my sketchbook. (gouache 5x7)

Summer Field (Tennessee, Landscape, Clouds) oil 8x6 $90

Fresh dewy Tennessee morning out in the field. A little queen anne's lace action going on. I always like seeing the hills in the distance. Typical Middle Tennessee.

"Shelby Street Bridge" (Nashville Tennessee) oil 11x14 *SOLD* now the John Seigenthaler Bridge

This under the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. Leads right to Titans Stadium from Downtown Nashville. I used a pretty muted paletted here on this Nashville scene at the Cumberland River. Thalo blue, orange, alizarin crimson and mars black. (oil on canvas board 11x14)

"Queen Anne Lace" (dry stream bed, clouds, tree line, cows) $100

Great view of a dried up creek bed with some Queen Anne's Lace growing up around. This is in Rutherford County. Some cows made it in the painting. Typical Middle Tennessee June Day. Gouache excels at quickly capturing scenes like this on toned paper. Distant trees on the horizon with an opening tend to catch my eye as I wonder what is beyond. (The main sketch is 5x7)

Sun Lit Palm (palm tree, afternoon, sun, florida) (acrylic 11x14) $200

A great clear tropical day in St Augustine Florida. That palm tree was casting the nicest blue violet shadow on that white wall. Little lizards crawling all over the place and basking in the sun.
I did a watercolor of it and had to paint this larger one in acrylic. As usual the Golden Acrylics really handle great.
