Mayflower Square (watercolor 11.5/8) Sold

I did this for a developer in Nashville. The development is called Mayflower Square. There are some very nice homes that are almost finished in this nice quiet area. Go buy one! I will come visit.

I'm not a fan of pink houses, but I do like the way they were painted. What jumps out at me is the barn. I've never looked up the term 'painterly', but I would probably describe this as such. Forgive me, but I thought that was a goat in the pasture--there's a little trail in the paint coming off its head that looks like a slightly off-curved horn.
Also, I thought the blue thing on the left side was a bluebird, but I wasn't sure.

I now see a goat! And giant bluebird. I will make up some art speak to explain this bird.

I just cheated and fixed it in photoshop! :-)

.....hmmmm, Mayflower Square sounds like a lovely place to live....
Great watercolor by the way. The shadow patterns in the foreground and road lead the eye right to the house.
I like the way you painted the tree to the left.
By the way, it's tricky to pull off this kind of perspective and you nailed it!

What gives away the amateur in this kind of painting are the trees. You pass A1 pro.
